How do I clear the CMOS? How do I clear the BIOS password?

Power off your system and move JBAT1 (see system board diagram) to 2-3 and leave it there for 2 or 3 seconds. Move JBAT1 back to 1-2 and power up your system.

I have flashed my BIOS, but now I get no video!

Try clearing your CMOS (see above). Make sure you've flashed the BIOS using the correct BIOS for your system board; flashing the wrong BIOS will render the board inoperable.

Hardware Questions

How do I disable the onboard audio?

Go into the BIOS setup and go into Integrated Peripherals and set the AC'97 Audio option to disabled.

I've turned the system on, but I'm getting no power (i.e., power supply fan does not spin).

Make sure the cable from the case's power switch is connected properly to the board's power on jumper; refer to the motherboard manual. Try reseating the ATX power connector to the motherboard. Disconnect all the power connectors to your HDD, FDD, CD-ROM, etc. then try powering the system up. Try replacing the ATX power supply.

What kind of DDR DIMMs can I use?

Use PC3200/DDR400, non ECC, unbuffered, and non-registered DIMMs.

How do I enable dual channel memory support?

You need to populate both channel A and B (see system board diagram below) with the same size DIMM. For example, if you want a total of 512MB, populate DIMM slot 1 and DIMM slot 3 with 256MB.

What is the system's maximum memory capacity?

It is 4GB using four 1GB DDR DIMMs.
